I am so impressed with this gadget - so much better than anything else I've tried. It works on the specific PC that your child is using - so doesn't affect my work computer. We tried Net Nanny and filters but they all had a knock on effect on my PC and as I am a moderator I sometimes need to access sites I don't really want my children to use.
The filters made my life a misery, but this little gadget is ACE. So easy to install, you can block as little or as much or even everything if you like. You can also block applications (handy if you have games installed that you don't want them to use when they are doing their homework). You can also switch it between machines, ie a desk top and a lap top.
You can also block printer use, which is great for my 5 year old who presses print 100 times!
Totally recommended.
