Failed to protect anything January 30, 2008 MoJo (UK) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I have had a couple of Belkin units, including this one, fail to protect my equipment. Once a PC just died one day, and I found burn marks on the motherboard PSU connector. The other time with this exact unit there was a lightning strike nearby, and the computer PSU was fried along with my monitor and HiFi amplifier. Both times I tried to claim from Belkin on their warranty. They make it very hard, and you have to send them the damaged equipment. In both cases they at first refused to pay up, but eventually I got some compensation out of them. Nothing like the value of the items though, only their "second hand" value which for Belkin means car boot sale prices. I now have a Tripp-Lite and touch wood have no had any problems.
Quick delivery, great product March 2, 2005 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
Ordered from Amazon on Monday PM, arrived Wednesday AM. And that was with the free delivery. Very pleased. Excellent product. Plug sockets can be turned so you can plug in two AC adaptors opposite each other, etc. A must have for anyone with computers, scanners, printers, etc.

Belkin is top of the pops in the protection market, there are not many that can better them.Whithin a week of buying this surge master my neighbours' computer blew up beacause of a lighting strike. He was just plugged into the wall, no protection. My house was protected from top to bottom with surge protecters. computer, scanner & printer on one protector. Tele, dvd, video on another. This week Midi unit & my lap top on this proctor. I would not be without a proctor for any of my expensive units no matter what they are. No one should just plug their very expensive toys into the wall. Prevention is the best policy.

Puker bit of kit January 12, 2004 14 out of 30 found this review helpful
I just recived one of these as a present and was very happy to get such a good piece of kit to safegard my computer set up it was just as it said on the box unfortunatly the person who chose it for me did not realise that I have NTL cabel broadband and the fitting is not the same size as the DSL type so It will not work with my set up and have to be returned and on further reading on the site it says for cabel modems with a photo of a tv type plug this is not how cabel modems work they use a larger version of a phone plug like mine or a USB fitting this is the reason for only 4 star rateing
