Product Description Designed to be small and lightweight, the Apple Portable Power Adaptor is the perfect traveling companion. The Adaptor has a clever design which allows the DC cable to be wound neatly around itself for easy cable storage. Coloured status LEDs, located in the head of the DC-connector that plugs into your Apple portable, indicate charging status. An amber ring lets you know that your portable is charging, while a green ring tells you that you have a full charge. An AC cord is provided with the adaptor for max...

Careful: This isn't a Macbook Magsafe adaptor November 17, 2007 John Gilmore (uk) 0 out of 7 found this review helpful
Note that this is for Powerbooks etc, it isnt the new magsafe type needed by the MacBook.

If you read the feedback on the Apple website you will see that there has been a lot of criticism of this device. I went out and bought a Macally manufactured one instead, but when it failed after 3 months I contacted them to have it sorted under warranty. I soon found that not only do you have to pay to send it back to them you have to pay for it to be sent back to you. Time to give them the swerve then! So there I was, trying to decide between two apparently bad choices, and the only two choices available. Further research though finds that this power supply is not the same as the ones that have been widely reported to have problems. This is a 65 watt version. The problem power supplies were 45 watt. Should you buy one? Well I have to admit that it is expensive, hence only 4 stars, but it fits like it should, unlike the competitors and you can rest assured that Apple wont mess you about if it goes wrong and is under warranty. You will have the benefit of being able to leave a PSU wherever you take your laptop. I have ones plugged in permanently at home, work and my girlfriend's home. The advantage from buying it from Amazon is the potential of free carriage and as usual the service is top grade.
