Conpaire to intellipanelJuly 10, 2008 Alan Williams 0 out of 11 found this review helpful
Just a comment on the prievious post, this requires you to switch on/off with a remote. I fear if the general pubic is too lazy to turn off these devices manualy - this remote idea is just a novelty. But with the intellipanel it detects standby and cuts power - this is a far more long term solution to the standbye issue. So my money goes to intellipanel to beat standbye once and for ever without more remotes all over my house

I already bought the "starter kit" with 1 remote and 3 4-amp sockets. I have since purchased these 13 amp sockets and a couple more remotes. This is an excellent product, and a great idea. I have several TV/DVD/Audio sytems and my computer peripherals run off gang-sockets. With these systems I can quickly switch everything off and avoid stand-by. They are relatively small and slimline, nice price compared to "intelligent gang sockets", and far less obtrusive. The "programming" combination options are great also. I wish I could find more things to use them with!!!!
