5 out of 5 stars Good price, good product   September 7, 2008

I ordered this printer as I was fed up of wasting 2 catridges printing standard documents out. The printer is easy to set-up out the box, remember to follow the instructions and remove all the plastic from the unit (some is hidden inside). Distribution of black is solid, greys are a little wavy if you want to be super critical, however I feel this may be down to a the unit being so fresh out of the box. Mac OS drivers are minimal (as they should be) no silly 'Magic Print Software' - see HP for these apps that are always pointless.

It fires up real quick and is super compact on a desk set-up. I would recomend getting one as well as a colour printer.

I'm very happy with this printer, it's exacly what I needed. I use it at home for printing mainly text. This printer is very fast, has a very good printing quality, no paper jams so far and not a single multiple page pulling. It's very easy to install, just plug it, run the cd and turn it on. The software is just what you need, without any bells and whistles.

Considering the price of the printer and tonners, cost per page and quality of the machine and printing, I would say this one is far better then the entry HP models. Its also superior to the Brother printers. I don't know how it compares to Samsung or Canon, except that tonners are more expensive for the last one.

Also, this 120n is networkable. This is very good because I can print from my laptop through the wireless network I have at home. The next less expensive networkable laser printer is at least twice this price.

This model is going away but tonners and parts will continue to exist. It's still, in my opinion, one of the best laser printers out there. And because this is a model that no longer will be available, the last units are even cheaper then they used to be. You can get one for the price of two ink cartridges, so it's a bargain you shouldn't miss if you need a fast, reliable print for text with or without graphics. It also doesn't take long to start saving money in relation to a regular ink jet printer. A solid 5 stars.
