Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The D-Link DUB-H4 2.0 is a Hi-Speed Universal Serial Bus 2.0 4-port hub with backward compatibility to USB 1.0 and 1.1. It provides an out of the box industry standard that allows connection of up to four USB peripherals or devices to your USB ready PC or Mac. The D-Link DUB-H4 is targeted at PC and Mac users that are expanding the number of USB ports on their system. The D-Link DUB-H4 2.0 is designed to provide quick and easy access to the four type "A" downstream ports for connecting USB peripherals, devices or other USB hubs. A single type "B" upstream port connects the DUB-H4 to the host computer, or another USB hub enabling up to 127 devices to be connected by cascading multiple hubs. Configured directly by the operating system, the D-Link DUB-H4 2.0 operates seamlessly with both Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh Operating Systems. As a standard USB hub, the D-Link DUB-H4 buffers USB data from any attached peripheral in compliance with USB specifications to provide an invisible extension of the USB bus. Supporting both low speed (1.5 Mbps and 12Mbps) and Hi-speed (480 Mbps) devices, each port creates a bridge between the peripheral and host computer. Diagnostic LED's located on the top of the device provide power state (self-power) and port status on each port. The DUB-H4 2.0 is packaged with all necessary documentation, a 6-foot hi-speed USB 2.0 'A' to 'B' cable and an AC power supply to ensure that the user is able to easily and quickly install and use the device.

5 out of 5 stars Recommended USB 4 PORT HUB   October 4, 2008
D. K. Cain (Cramlington, Northumberland. UK.)
Bought this at a good price several days ago.

I needed more usb ports, especially with wireless mouses etc; I'm also about to purchase an additional hard drive to store photographs on.

I was runing out of ports and read reviews on this little hub.

I was't disappointed. I have windows xp and it took seconds to set up.

And there you go, all devices detected and no problems.

5 stars for value for money and it does what it says on the tin!!!!!!!

I have used, without success, a number of different hubs. Look no further! This really is an excellent hub. It will allow you to attach a variety of external devises, including an external hard drive. (The latter is not the case with all hubs, as they are only capable of hosting external devises with low electronic and software demands.) I would definitely recommend this product. Excellent value for money.

Ordered via Amazon/kikatek.
Dispatched by 2nd.Class Mail and received in 2 working days. Won't go through the letterbox but was waiting.
Plugged in, switched on and the D-Link H-4 is working much better than my previous hub however, that may be because I thought the cheapest USB hub would do.
Highly recommended

4 out of 5 stars Ok so far...but not quite sure   June 9, 2008
I. Cummings (Newbury, UK)
I bought this in Feb (4 months ago) as I needed a powered hub for my USB drive. Worked out of the box without any problems but now the power LED appears to start flashing/flickering at random times. The device still appears to work as normal but I am nervous especially as I do my image backups using it. I may well return it.

5 out of 5 stars Solves your USB power problems (eg. for external HDD).   May 28, 2008

This is a well designed and constructed USB 2.0 hub with PSU brick. I recently bought a WD 250GB Passport drive which works OK on my Sony VAIO but not on any of three desktop PCs in the house due to limitations on the current available from their USB ports. The Passport drive has no provision for a power brick and the Lindy dual-USB cable also failed to spin up the drive. This powered hub worked first time on all three PCs, providing enough current from the USB port to spin up the Passport drive.
