I've had one of these for just under a year now, and I've just ordered a replacement. Initially, the odd shape of this thing needed a bit of getting used to, but not much.. after that I loved it..
Unfortunately, the silicone side panel on the right hand side has discoloured and blistered making it very uncomfortable to use, so I've reverted back to my old MX510 and ordered a DeathAdder instead which won't suffer from that particular problem.
Oh yeah, if you've got a cat that likes to sit on your desk, you can forget the 2000dpi setting as it quickly gets confused with stray hairs.

ive had this mouse for about a year now and it still works great.. had to send off for another because the first mouse i got was broken from start but it was quickly reshipped.. i can give a lot about this mouse, only things that bother me, and i guess these are the bits that count is: the mouse kinda wares down fast, i got a few scratches / holeso n the top of the mouse buttons.. the hardware drivers are a nightmare to install, the software drivers arnt too bad, there's is a stupid amount of options on the utility program that are clearly not needed, thats it i think.. although i still rly love it!

I bought this mouse and was incredibly happy for the first week or so. I use it with the Razor mouse eXactEmat as well and it is incredibly smooth and just a joy to move around the mat with so little effort, it almost feels like its gliding above the surface, and the buttons and design is indeed as good as it gets (complete control without actually having to even grip the mouse on the sides). So thats the hardware, and the reason why I reviewed it with 3 starts as opposed to less.
But the problems start with the software. The control panel will only recognize that the mouse is a razor mouse about 5% of the time, and you have to re-boot the computer between each attempt to find the mouse. When you plug it in it works as a standard mouse, but you don't get to use any of the extra buttons or functionality because of the inability to recognize the mouse correctly. If the computer crashes for any reason on a re-boot it will not even register a mouse at all until you unplug and re-plug it. There are a few updates to support software and drivers on the Razer home site but as of yet they still do not fix these basic problems.
On the whole what I have been left with is an incredibly well designed mouse, which is a hassle to use and which comes with extra buttons and functionality that cant be used. Which is a shame.

I was happy with this mouse initially; on-the-fly resolution switching, extremely smooth and accurate. But then, just like a whole bunch of other Copperhead users, the troubles arrived; random hardware disconnects and freezing in both Windows and games - not good. I've tried different USB ports, powered hubs, driver revisions, firmware upgrades - nothing seems to fix it.
The driver control panel is the single worst piece of ...software I've seen. It's completely themed, so it bears no resemblence to a normal, boring, Windows program. So what, I hear you cry. Well, let's think about it for 30 seconds (which is 29 seconds more than the manufacturers have) - what CAN'T you do when your mouse doesn't work or you can't click on things? (say, because you've accidentally bound the left mouse button to "SPACE", which you can do by accidentally pressing the space bar while the driver panel is open). That's right, you can't use the mouse to click on the buttons that would allow your mouse to click on buttons! Genius!
Lesson to the monkeys who write clever little GUIs for their clever little control panels: Windows accessibility rules are there FOR A REASON. ALL your clever little gadgets need an accelerator key and a clear indication to the poor idiot user that they have FOCUS, and can accept KEYBOARD INPUT. It's not rocket science, it's simple basic usability.
My recommendation - buy a Microsoft device (and not the Habu either, which is a rebadged Terratec). Neither Logitech (HOW many megabytes for a driver?) or Terratec can write drivers, even though their hardware design is usually better.

Where to start. Technologically, visually and in every other "-ly" way this mouse exceeds. I've used it to play loads of games ranging from the ancient Enemy Territory to CS:Source as well as using it for precision selection in Photoshop and I cannot fault it. The total of four side buttons are easily programmable in other applications (I've used it for Teamspeak and Ventrilo). The software was easy to use (make sure you update first though) and after a year of usage, it still in perfect working order.
Be warned though: its design is not subtle. This thing pulses bright and gives the room a blue heartbeat in dim lighting.
