Wow. Shove Your Ipod's Up Your Ass, Cos The Walkman's Out =] May 14, 2008 M. Millward (Hampshire, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I wanted to get a new mp3 player as my phone was limiting me to just a few songs and as I HATE Ipods and believe quite frankly they are taking over the world and dumb consumers jump at the idea of a crappy swirly circle. This new Walkman is exactly what I wanted, it has exactly what the ipod nano has to offer but with a bigger and better screen, bluetooth, a sleeker design and much better sound quality. The only thing Ipods beat the walkman on, is the crappy little games they have. If you need a new mp3 player, or if you've finally realised how crap Ipods really are, then get this now =] Make the right choice ;]
Easy to use May 14, 2008 Scott Simpson (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this thinking that it would be a jump from the NWZ-A818. Simply put, it isnt! It looks a bit flashier but the sound is near enough the same. It still suffers from the same problem that the A816 does... there is no difference in volume when you turn it up from vol level 20-30 (or there abouts). I work in a noisy environment and the fact is like the other walkman it simply just isnt loud enough. (even with the vol limiter off) Having said that it looks nice and the sound is really clear and it syncs perfectly with windows so its really easy to load and delete tracks. The bluetooth is handy... but the headphones make you look like an employee at mission control.
Quality kit May 9, 2008 J. MACDONALD (Surrey) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've had an IPOD for a number of years but it has always suffered from a short battery life and the supplied headphones were terrible. I've been looking for an MP3 player that avoids both of these issues and the NWZA828K does this in spades. The battery life is outstanding, with bluetooth it is still very good. The sound is stunning, puts the IPOD to shame. The supplied headphones are excellent. The wireless bluetooth headphones cost over 50 pounds separately so the overall value of this is better than you think assuming you want wireless. The player is visible in windows explorer as a drive so it is a doddle to drag and drop files to it. If you enjoy music and want quality sound then do not look anywhere else. Buy this player you will not be disappointed.
Absolute Masterpiece!! May 8, 2008 K. Shekhar (London, UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
It took me just 10min to transfer my mp3 and connect the bluetooth headset I initially had doubts about the quality of sound in the bluetooth headset but it turned out to be much better than ipod and creative.........SONY rocks!!! Dont be bothered about the price...it gives you more than what you would need!!!
Excellent Buy. May 6, 2008 Ben Guest (England) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Well. My Walkman arrived two days early which was a pleasant surprise. After unpackaging i was amazed at how light the thing was..much lighter than the iPod i had before, and just generally light for its size. i turned it on and played one of the sample videos it came with. WOW. much smoother, better colours and sharper than the iPod (video 30gig). I was also delighted with the earphones; for once you get a decent pair of earphone bundled with an mp3 player. The bluetooth headphones are good too, and i like that i can use them with my phone. Syncing is a dos. I use media monkey gold, but you can use windows explorer or media player which is very useful (another plus over the ipods). From what i can tell, the audio is very crisp and clean. Great job there sony. It is quite pricy, but you get what you pay for and more!
