I was actually given these as an xmas present from my dad, I had to act surprised at the time but I have had bad experience from Labtec before, but I decided I better set them up.
Setting up the speakers was very easy, although I would like to note they have no wall bracket's, it was easy, the plugs are colour coded and this was very helpful. I am running the whole system and my computer has 5.1 surround enabled.
Quality - I would say the quality for price is amazing, the bass is very deep and clear; my parents have reinforced this claim as my mum is complaining about not being able to hear the TV because of the bass (thanks dad). as for the other 5 speakers, I have only noticed distortion if I turn the bass very high on my actual computer equaliser, but if you get it right they are amazing.
The ability of being able to turn the bass down actually on the back of the subwoofer is very handy, but it doesn't affect the sound quality at all.
Overall a very good buy and I would recommend for someone who doesn't require the best sound quality but would like to experience a good 5.1 surround system for a good price.
