So very nearly 5 stars April 3, 2008 R Hind (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this I-Trigue 3000i to provide sound from both my PC and iPod and it's a very clever, good looking piece of kit. The clarity is excellent with little background hiss and the bass unit works very well with little distortion at high volumes. The remote control allows you full navigational access to the iPod menus, far better than my Bose SoundDock (more about that in a second). The only draw back I found was that the kit does not include a lead jack connector between the iPod docking station and the PC and does not come with a USB cable to enable you to connect and sync your iPod to your PC, you need to buy these separately. Hence the 4 stars, why position a product to do both roles and then not provide the necessary PC cables!!!! You will need a 3.5mm Jack Lead to 3.5mm Jack Lead and a USB to small USB (e.g. Blackberry Sync cable). I've sat the unit in the same position and run the same tracks as my Bose SoundDock and whilst the SoundDock does a good job of throwing the sound away from a single point to make you think it's filling the room, I would give the nod to the Creative system for that bigger system sound and audible separation in treble and bass. Also the SoundDock remote is limited to just volume and track forwards/backards and the background hiss and whirring of the iPod in the SoundDock is much more noticeable, especially when playing music quietly. All in all a superb sound system that plays the role of PC speakers and iPod system very well.
Great all rounder January 28, 2008 S. Khan (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this set of speakers and docking station for the ipod touch and my desktop pc. Thats right this system allows you to connect to an ipod and pc at the same time or even a TV. With the dockstation you can connect a USB cable to syncronise your ipod at the same time. Sounds great too, I got to say they work wonderfull with the remote control supplied. A must have for the ipod-PC-in-one thing.
