I recieved this sound system yesterday, and after using i realise that with this amount of money this is the best sound system.
The base is excellent specially when you are listening R & B and RAP you must need powerfull Base sound to enjoy, i am using on my sony laptop which have a built-in sound card and have only 1 connection for output, so for sorround sound i am using it on matrix mode but still sound is better.
I am damn sure if i have a better sound card i will get the best sound from that speaker, i will highly recomend you guyz to buy that sound system.

I bought these mainly for replacing my PC's aging 5.1 sound system which was deteriorating and crackling.
They are great for doing that job.
Sound is fine, although the bass needs to be cranked to the max just to hear it correctly. Maybe I'm just used to having my old system's bass turned right down for the equivalent sound to this one.
The downside is that, I also wanted to try a 5.1 system on my PS3's blu-ray discs.
The PS3 only has an optical sound cable though and this system only attaches with the standard green/black/orange 5.1 PC sound attachments.
Do not get this product if you want to connect it to your PS3.

i bought this incredibly surround sound for a brand new 32" HD tv i was getting someone for their birthday, only thinking that this would not stand up to par of only the most expensive systems i have heard already - but there i was shocked to find my heart stop every time i fired a bullet or lept off a cliff (on my ps3) in which you could hear the wind brushing past you. this is an incredible system and i would recommend it to anyone with half a brain and half a wallet.

Ordered these last week, after reading the reviews on amazon. I was looking to replace my aging Cambridge Sound works 4.1 system (creative), following the reviews on this site and others on this system. I ordered them and receivied them a few days earlier.
Absoulte brilliant is all I can say, they sound so much clearer then the other system I had. Couple them with the Creative X-FI sound card and it is brilliant, alot of speaker for the money paid.
Haven't had to have them over 1/2 way yet, no need, even below that I can hear them outside in the garden! Very easy to set up, didn't have the cable issue as they are used relatively close to the sub.
My only gripe is that the volume control cable is fixed to the sub, no way to unplug it. I have a custom built desk and the control doesn't fit through the cable hole, no problem though, so have to find a different place for it.
Overall excellent value for money, I've heard some expensive systems and imo these beat them hands down.

Cant think of any other reason not to buy it.
A little hint: When playing through your ipod only 2 speakers will work. Just press matrix mode and the sound comes out of them all :D
