I think the previous reviewer is a bit dim because you have to pull the 2 leg stands out from the back of the unit to enable it to stand up otherwise it will of course fall over!! Mine stands up fine (When the legs are pulled out) and the sound is superb especially the 3d feature which gives a spatial sound and is really effective. Overall great sound and value for money for a compact portable unit and don't forget that it has a rechargeable battery so you don't need to buy any or keep it plugged into the mains for it to work hence it can be used anywhere, plus it has a small remote so no need to get up to change the volume or scan the tracks!! Of course the Bose unit has a better sound but it is a lot more expensive and weighs a ton so it depends on what application you want it for but for me this one does the biz!!

These speakers just don't quite deliver. Despite their specification the sound is flat and lifeless. The unit topples backwards unless the mains jack is plugged in or it is stood against something. The remote needs to be fairly close to the unit for it to react and lacks a responsive feel. I only give it two stars instead of one as it has a 10 hour rechargeable battery which will make it handy on the beach or boat.
