what are they talking about? May 4, 2008 Rina Daya (London UK) I've been using these speakers for over a year, and they are totally fantastic! I plug them into my laptop to watch movies, into my mp3 to listen to music- and the volume is amazing, balanced and definitely not tinny! Other people I know have bought these speakers after hearing the performance of mine.
Avoid these dreadful speakers. January 15, 2006 O. Southwood (UK) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
I unplugged them and put my old ones back in within 5 minutes. These are just awful speakers. Made my crystal clear mp3s sound like a Long Wave Radio wrapped in a damp sock.Cheap? Yes. Nice looking? Certainly. And the sound? Tinny, distorted, muffled. Hard to beleive at this price, but these are a total rip-off. Don't be fooled by the high-end brand name. These are hugely dissapointing. I saw them and bought them on a whim thinking they were a bargain. I WAS WRONG. Amazon doesn't let me give zero stars, so you can take the 1 star for looks alone. The sound quality deserves less than zero stars.
Better speakers available for the money. March 9, 2004 Ed (UK) 36 out of 36 found this review helpful
I thought buying Sony would get me some decent quality speakers. The sound is very tinny and the quality is rubbish. Ok, I'm not expecting to get HiFi quality, but I compared theses Sony speakers with some existing Altec Lansing ones I have, of similar size, price and power output and the Altec's completely overwhelmed them. The sound reproduction is bad in comparison ("where is the bass and depth?"). If you just want some speakers that work and you're not too worried about sound quality, then yeah get them, they look nice enough, but there are better speakers out there for the money.
