buy spare fuse's April 11, 2008 M. J. McEwan (London UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had my Z-5500 for a while now and have to say that i'm very impressed with then the only problem i had was i turned off every thing at night at the mains and it caused the fuse the blow so turn of at the back of the sub first and get some fuse's which you can get of this site! use for DVD / X-BOX 360 / PC / PS3 & IPOD.
WOW... April 6, 2008 Mr. G. Lloyd (Gloucestershire) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These speakers are amazing, i upgraded to these from an altec lansing 2.1 set and the difference is immense, the bass is amazing. One of the only problems for me was that it did not come with an Optical Digital audio cable which is required to plug it in an Xbox 360 or PS3. i Highly recommend these speakers that is of course if you dont mind all your neighbours hating you for it!!!
The gift of sound... March 12, 2008 Mr. A. M. Trout (Somerset, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
By god! These speakers are brilliant! Whether it be for your PC or home multimedia setup in the lounge, the Z5500 will do the job. The sound quality is absolutely amazing, and you can crank it up loud enough for practically any sized room. If you are looking for a new sound system - then these are definately worth considering.
What more can i say... February 13, 2008 Mr. N. Graham (England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My numpty bought me these speakers for a gift along with a 32" sony lcd screen. Watching a movie without these speakers on just gives the film a flat tone. As for the fuses blowing... only happend once to me so i bought a multi adaptor spike socket which has stopped fuses blowing. A WORD TO THW WISE! Do not replace your 2amp fuse with a bigger rate as this is bound to cause damage to your speakers and end in frustration for yourself!
Top sound for a reasonable price February 6, 2008 Mr. M. Mcdonnell Well i have had this system for a while now and i must be honest, it is a serious system, it has excellent treble and mid range, you have been told by many reviewers about the subwoofer, it is awsome and huge so do measure where you want it to go. I connect it through coaxial with my hdmi dvd of which is above what i expected, digital with my cable tv to good to be true, its excellent with music cd's and all i can say is ENJOY. There is an issue with the 2amp fuse that goes in the bottom of the sub, it blows once you've switched it off by the rocker switch a few times, no power not a dicky bird but its due to it bieng a cheap nasty little thing, once you put a good quality fuse in then your problem is solved. HAPPY LISTENING
