Okay, but not the best... June 1, 2008 Mr. I. Hamilton (Edinburgh, Scotland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These speakers produce decent sound for the size, but have a few design flaws. - They only draw 0.5 watts, not loud enough if you're watching a quiet movie. - The plastic stand always comes off when you wind the cable up. Its a bit of a pain. - The cable isn't very long, and restricts where you can position the speakers My advice, try the "JLAB" speakers, they're louder (1watt per channel) and produce good quality sound. They're also lighter and cheaper ( 20). You won't regret it.

Ordered 11th sept. Arrived 13th sept even on super saver delivery. Plugged into windows vista laptop system...worked immediately! Excellent sound quality, reasonable price I can't fault it, Well done Sony!
works with Mac too! September 13, 2007 Mr. R. M. Morris (UK) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Despite what it says on the packing and the instructions. Just plug in and adjust the output setting in system preferences/sound. No downloads necessary. Great sound from my MacBook. An update - they don't seem quite so happy with Leopard. Have to unplug/plug in to get itunes working. Further edit - they seem to cause itunes to skip occasionally - or is this just a usb problem? (It doesn't happen if the audio-out is used with other speakers.)
Stylish and practical December 10, 2006 A. Williams (Southampton, Hampshire United Kingdom) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought these speakers to use with a Sony Vaio and they match it perfectly in terms of style. The design is ideal for use on the move as the twin speakers are in one unit and the cable tucks neatly away in a groove inside the case, with the stand folding over to become a cover. What I hadn't expected from such a neat little package is the excellent sound quality and much more volume than I've ever had the need for.
Superb design March 28, 2006 Karen Traviss 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I can't believe how good these speakers are. They were far lighter and more compact than I expected, and the sound is excellent. (Tested to the max with thumping Vode An from Jess Harlin.) The most striking thing for me, though, was the design: incredibly clever. The USB cable folds neatly into the body of the speakers and the stand wraps around the unit as a cover. Truly portable, and exceptional value. I might look at Sony products more often now.And an extra bonus, albeit a tiny one: the bubble pack opened easily. This is the first piece of electronic kit I've ever been able to extract without a fight and a few cuts. I hate packaging that I have to take a machete to. Nice one, Sony.
