Nice Speakers.... July 10, 2008 Sam Tooley (Devon, UK) I bought these speakers and was well pleased with the result, when turned up the bass used to shake my coffee mug off my desk, but as you can turn the bass down it was never a problem. The sound quality from the speakers was brilliant, but the reason that I don't give them 5 stars is that initially they were a little hard to set up, and also after running them on full volume for about 2 hours, playing some heavy music they just cutout, and from the temperature of the transformer I think I must have cooked something, anyway, looking forward to getting them repaired. Great speakers, just don't burn them out.
great speakers, but limited flexibility March 17, 2008 T. Price 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
When wired up to a PC these speakers are excellent for music and films: fantastic quality with truly volcanic bass! Yes it has to be wired through a 5.1 soundcard but the iTrust card that I bought further enhances the capabilities of the speakers themselves. The only problem with these is that without a 5.1 soundcard (i.e connected to an xbox etc), nothing is directed to the subwoofer so the satellites have to do everything. I have the Logitech X-530 system at uni and while the sub isnt so punchy, the satellites are more capable and its a much better all round system. To conclude: Excellent speakers provided they are being run through a soundcard!
Fairplay! January 6, 2008 Mr. T. Bellfield 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Where to start? These speakers are loud without loosing any quality. if your looking for quality bass these are perfect, at 1/3volume the sub vibrates my room etc..! They are small and stylish with easy connections. The bass can be adjusted seperatly making playing music at night less annoying for neighbours. Some bad points, The blue LED on the centre sub is BRIGHT but can be coverd by tape and is fine in the light. You do need a true 5.1 sound card (3 seperate sockets instead of the standard headphone socket (same type)). Please stop looking and buy these you will not regret it!
What is the SNR of these speakers ??? November 29, 2007 BERT TRUBY (London, England) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Hello, I really like the look of these speakers going on the review and the Specification but I would like to be told "What is the signal-to-noise ratio of these speakers?". Once I know this then i will know whether to buy them because I know it is quite an important spec to be high for the sound quality. Thanks

Needs a 5 surround card to make it work. A powerfull sound quality that most people would appreciate. Good old Phillips, cant really go wrong with a decent brand name
