Does what it says on the tin ... June 10, 2008 Peterborough user On the basis that I read all the reviews before buying this (good and not so good), have never been too keen on blue tooth and don't traditionally like 'neck-band' type ear-phones, I guess this is the review to read !! I decided to take the gamble (at 54) because I dislike cables even more than the above gripes. It gets 5 stars, because I guess Logitech are working with the limitations of the technology, so in an ideal world it could all do with being a little less bulky, but we're not there yet. So my review is very similar to the star-rating of 'Erasumus' of Canada Water below...but in addition.. The earphones are fine. They work for me because the little extra weight of the ear-pieces keeps them in place better than lighter earphones of this type. Connection works fine but as mentioned below - it won't transmit well through walls and doors. The transmitter has some nice touches: the jack slides on its base to make it more adapatable to different source-connections and they have provided an little jack extension lead which I needed because my audio sockets are either recessed or packed with other sockets (on the TV for example) so there would be no room for the plastic box without this little lead - great touch. Also comes with spare earphone pads. The push-sensitive volume controls are a great idea - very easy and quick to use. Volume is more thn I would need - without blowing my eardrums out. Recomendation - great product - go for it !!
ear peice gets damaged easily May 30, 2008 Mr. P. Owen (uk) The ear peice in my set as somehow lost shape and it sometimes falls off,but apart from that they are worth buying, the pause button on the phones and also volume control are really good,i like them, also has a bass boost, these are the best out of the bunch, well done Logitech
Good for the Money March 10, 2008 smokeysmoo (United Kingdom) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had these for around 3 months, and to be honest, was really pretty happy with them. The worked well, sound quality and level was good enough, looked pretty good, and in most situations were comfortable enough. Only issues I had were: 1. After about an hour of running I found they started to irritate my ears a little. 2. Once you got a low battery beep in your ear, they went totally flat very quickly. 3. The receiver that goes on your Ipod could surely be a LOT more compact! It's huge! 4. Finally, the left headphone packed up completly on me after 3 months! I actually returned them to Amazon for a replacement, but Amazon have refunded me! So I'm going to have a look round first, but if all else fails, I would have no hesitation in buying these again.
Wife got me these for christmas March 9, 2008 D. Fullard (Sussex, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
All I can say is WOW! Music without wires! Great sound quality for something that is wireless, I can now listen to my music almost all over the house. Just recently, I managed to get the headphones to pair with my new laptop, so I don't even need the dongle! Just press and hold the power button on the headphones until you get a red+blue flashing light, then connect using bluetooth and the passkey of 0000.
Good but has its faults February 20, 2008 J. Smith (London) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had these for 2 weeks for use on my daily train commute and at the gym. They are good but, as other users have commented, they have faults. Good Points It works. No wires and a mostly hassle free experience. I'll never use wires again. Gym. The headset grips enough for me to wear on the running machine. The charger. The one-plug twin-charger is genius. Battery life. More than enough for my daily 2-hour commute and 1-2 hours in the gym. Volume adjuster. So easy to use and the on/off doubling as a mute button works well. Sound quality. Surprisingly good and good enough for a commuter. Bad Points The backband. Clearly this product was designed and tested by people who never wear a shirt. The backband is awkwardly positioned and catches on my collar. This also makes it difficult to rest your head on a headrest (vital for a long commute!) without disturbing their position. This alone is such a design failure that it fully accounts for whole star deducted from the rating. The comfort factor. About an hour for me before they start to make my ears ache. The main issue is their lack of adjustment and inflexibility and the fact they constantly catch on my shirt-collar. The transmitter. Light, yes, but its bulky. If you have latest 3g Nano then don't even bother buying it as the transmitter blocks the screen-lock button. Drop-outs. About 1 every 10-15 minutes. Not enough to make the headphones unusable but enough to irritate. Volume. The top level isn't enough for me. In conclusion. These are the best wireless headphones I've tried (and I've tried several), unfortunately this is due to the fact that everything else is utter rubbish. Still they DO work and the freedom from wires makes up for its faults. I expect Logitech to listen the feedback from consumers and the next generation product could well be perfect.
