The MM22 is the smaller brother of the MM50, but is quite adequate for smaller rooms. The small speakers are surprisingly good, especially for tight treble notes. You can't expect earth moving bass from them, but they are very acceptable. If not connected through the mains adapter, the MM22 uses conventional alkaline batteries rather than the fitted rechargeable battery in the MM50. If you don't need the larger speakers, and appreciate the greater portability, save £32 and opt for the MM22. It's a simple and effective way of listening to your mp3 files without an uncomfortable earphone stuffed in the ear.
