I'm one of these left handers that has always tried to fit in - I just manage with right handed stuff - so I've been clicking and dragging with 'generic' mice for longer than I care to remember! - I bought this because I wanted some programmable buttons for an application I have to use a lot - and It's an absolute treat - comfortable, tracks perfectly and with 10 buttons you can programme individually for each application, very powerful.
If you are of a geeky persuasion (guilty as charged) check out 'uber-options' via the Logitech forums. - Not officially supported, but it adds much greater flexibility to the programmable stuff.
So celebrate your 'Southpaw' and treat yourself!

This is a nice mouse, well made and worked straight out the box, fine without drivers. I did install drivers to reverse the buttons (I am not that left handed and have to use right handed mice most of the time).
The one dissapointment is that even having installed the drivers I have not (as yet) worked out how to get the extra buttons to work within games. But this may be me or a limitation of the games.
I am pleased with the mouse, but at this price it should really be good.

I bought this mouse seeing it was left handed and hoping for a good gaming wireless gaming mouse.
However, the tracking is really poor, far inferior to my MX310. If you just want to work in Windows this mouse might be OK, but sadly it seems things have moved backwards in terms of sensor technology.
If you're left handed I'd reccomend the (wired) MX310.

Logitech are to be comended for producing this left handed version but why is it so much more expensive. They will tell you production costs are increased, however they would not be more than starting a right handed mouse from scratch. They will say that the market is smaller, but as there is little or no competition in higher end left handed mice then the MX610 LH has 100% of the 10% left handed population to target. That market share must be more than any Right handed mouse can look to. I want one but I just won't buy one unless the prices are the same. I urge other lefties to do the same, make you feeling known here.

It's really nice having a proper lefted handed mouse with lots of features. I can now control the volume, bring up messenger or outlook without touching the keyboard. It also has two well placed buttons that control the backward and forward buttons for browsers. All in all very well designed. I also sometimes play games and this mouse works great with them.
I have encountered some problems though. I found it did not work very well when I plugged the mouses USB transmitter into the rear of my computer. This was easily resolved when I attached it to a USB extention cable. I did not have to do that with my old logitech optical mouse.
I also found that occasionally the mouse becomes jumpy (even with the extension). After digging around on the net i found some forum posts suggesting that the wireless mouse signal can suffer from interference from a wireless router. This could explain the problems I encountered when the USB transmitter was plugged into the rear of my PC as this is near the wireless network card reciever. I might add that I tried this with my laptop (with has wifi built in) and had no problems at all.
That being said I am happy with this mouse.
