Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars The worst mouse I've ever had the misfortune to use.   December 12, 2003
Simple problem: this mouse doesn't 'do' small horizontal distances. Try to move this mouse any slower than that necessary to move - say - a tenth of the width of your screen and that ball won't go nowhere. It's definitely not my tangled wiring - if it was there'd be problems over vertical distances, which it manages fine. Could it be that the rollers are dusty? Maybe. The mouse can't be opened (despite the 'twist this way' arrows on the base), so it doesn't matter.

Completely useless for me as a gamer (in FPSs, the only way to aim at anything is to move the mouse *and then fine-tune by sidestepping until you're aiming at the target*), but useless for anyone else who wants to click anything small, like, say, a hyperlink, or a radio button.

3 out of 5 stars Not especially good   July 7, 2000

Sadly, this is not the best mouse I've ever used. Even more sadly though, I haven't gotten around to replacing it, but it keeps what I don't like about it fresh in my mind. First off, the shape isn't the best. I'm not sure what the best shape is - only that I've used better. It's slightly awkward in either hand, leaving me convinced that though it's intended to somehow hit that middle ground of ambidextrous awkwardness. Also, the slippery plastic body doesn't feel right - it's the sort of thing you can easily lose in the midst of serious mousing. With two buttons, there's no confusion as to what a third button should do, though for people who actually use the middle button when it's available, it's disappointing. The wheel itself isn't bad, and does have a decent feel to it, though given there are other wheel mice available, it's worth looking elsewhere. Perhaps the Logitech Mouseman Wheel?
