2 out of 2 have broken August 8, 2006 S. Jung 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I bought this wheel when it first came out. It was excellent then and it probably still is the best wheel you can buy. However, like Cobb, after a couple of years the pedals developed a problem which Logitech couldn't fix (I probably play on average 3-4 hours per week). As they were just outside the warranty I bought another wheel. Once again, just over two years down the road, the pedals have developed the same fault and, once again, Logitech won't replace them. What to do? Excellent wheel/pedals, shitty reliability and service.
MOMO Force April 8, 2006 cobbs (uk) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Ive had my momo racing wheel for nearly 2-3 years, i also have the original microsoft sidewinder force feedback wheel which i bought around 1998. the momo wheel its self is rock solid, but unfortunatly the pedals are not, the throttle has started twitching ive tried all means of drivers and calibration tools to correct this, i have even contacted logitech and asked for part numbers to replace the pickups on the pedals ,as well as a new set of pedals on their own but logitech do not make nor provide such information the only option is to replace the whole lot :( where as my microsoft sidewinder f/b wheel is as good today as it was when i bought it. it has been bashed dropped kicked punched stamped but still works shame about xp not supproting, in comparison the logitech has been used less (kept in box when not used) and treated far better because its a great wheel but the pedals are just frustratingly cheap and nasty in comparison to the wheel. unfortunatly the momo does seem to be the best out there at the moment actlabs gone, microsoft gone. the sad thing is i would pay 200 for a wheel and pedal set that used optics had a clutch pedal and was built to last at least as long as my sidewinder has.

Brilliant but unreliable September 3, 2005 Mr. A. Brown (Northampton, UK) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I have been using the Logitech Momo for about 8 months now for an average of a couple of hours a week, and while it's brilliant to use, there is a reliability issue. The accelerator pedal loses calibration because (I'm reliably informed from forums) a sideways movement is possible, pushing the pot beyond its normal range of movement. The software recalibrates automatically, so suddenly I've lost 30-40% of the useful range. Eventually I end up having to set a massive dead zone at the top just to manage full throttle, resulting in poor throttle control and unplayable racing games. There are tools available on the web to reset the calibration to normal, and even advice in forums about how to "fix" the sideways looseness of the pedal using tape. However, Logitech products are usually as reliable as clockwork, and I expect better from a product costing this much, so overall I'm disappointed with my purchase.
THE BEST June 29, 2005 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
I play several online pc driving games, the best being GTR and to play this game a quality wheel is required. This is the one if you want the best, extremely well constructed and the force feedback from this wheel is awesome absolute class( think you can tell i like it}. If you are truly a racer then this is the one, C U online. :)
