I've disconnected this because I have plugged in DVD, kids PS2, TV and video and desktop TV box. The picture is terrible. Pay for what you get!
Rubbish - Does not work - Do not buy January 5, 2006 Mr. A. Cassells (Lurgan, Northern Ireland) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
If I could give this 0 stars would, but can't so 1 will have to do. It could not even cope with 2 devices plugged into it, never mind the 5 it's meant to take. Had a DVD player and Freeview box plugged in - DVD was unwatchable. I initally thought it was faulty and Amazon replaced it, but the replacement was just the same. Ended up getting a refund. In summary - 0 stars for item as it simply doesn't work, but 5 stars for Amazon for firstly replacing it and then giving me a refund - thanks!

When I first used this I thought it was great, it let me choose between my Xbox and GameCube whenever i wanted but as I tried to add any more the picture quality completely lost it! I use 4 of the 5 slots, PS2, Gamecube, Xbox and DVD player, I cannot use any of these enjoyably anymore as I am having to go back to individually changing sockets. Tomorrow I am buying a new, different, adapter.
It's OK if that's all you want September 15, 2005 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I bought the Hama 5-way Scart adaptor to replace a 'nest' of switchable 2-way adaptors. It made everything a lot easier, but there was one major problem: there was a noticeable and, to me, unacceptable loss of picture quality. If you're going to be happy with this, get one. If not - well, I've gone back to my 'nest' of 2-ways.

OK, I'm sure most people today have a few TV devices - VCRs, DVD players, games consoles, and digital TV boxes - that connect to the TV using SCART. I used to have to change the cables over whenever I wanted to use a different device, like when I wanted to play on the PS2 after watching a video, which got quite annoying after a while. Now I've got one of these, though, I simply don't have to bother.
