the item is gd dont get me wrong i bought one when the ipod first one came out and mine is still downloading music as fast and even faster than the USB. however for the same price you can know buy the USB cable built in . I personally think this is the better buy as you then have two options, but it all depends on wat your computers like. This is definetly a great buy for mac users but for PC users by the USB cable as well u wont waste your money then . THINK BEFORE YOU BUY!
