This is a great item!
I bought it to accompany my iPod Touch and my collection of iTunes Gift Cards that I had for a birthday a while back.
It works flawlessly with my Toshiba 1080P HDTV. The picture is very sharp whilst watching some TV Shows and Rented Films from the iTunes store and is much better than I thought it would be.
It will also play music through the speakers of your TV.
A nice feature is that it comes with a USB Power adaptor as well, which has both UK and European (2pin) mains connectors.
And of course, with any Apple product, the packaging is extremely well presented and is great to give as a gift to anyone.
Overall, this is a great accessory to any iPod (as long as it can play videos!) and the quality is much more than you think it will be when playing content downloaded from the iTunes store.

I bought this from a seller on the Amazon Marketplace. The item was cheaper than buying direct from Amazon but the packaging was described as "tatty". Although I was told that the item would not arrive in time for Christmas as I had left it too late to order (as usual!), it arrived within 24 hours of being ordered, just in time for Christmas and the packaging was acceptable and not as "tatty" as expected.
As for the item itself, well it does exactly what it says it will... I hooked it up to my new Sony Bravia HD TV within seconds and within a couple of minutes was watching the videos I had stored on my iPod. The image quality is acceptable if a little fuzzy and undefined, but you were never going to get fantastic quality. The inclusion of a USB charger is a bonus (considering you'll pay 20 for one on it's own) although as I have already got one, it's a bit of a waste and I'd rather if Apple would just have sold me the AV cable for around 10. The cable does feel well made however and designed to be used on the go.
I'd recommend this cable to anyone who wants to watch videos from their iPods but find the screens on the iPods too small for extended viewing.

Very Pricy, but works well.
dvd quality piture.
Sometimes bad picture as the av cable for picture needs adjusting sometimes (twisting etc) cables sometimes need manipulating to make the picture work, like with headphones that dont work where you need to move the cable in and out by the speaker bit to et a connection.
very compliated and easily tangled.
If there was another option i would buy that, but if you tire of watching films off tiny screens, then it is an essential until another company can make a chipped version to compete. (iPods made after 2006 all have a chip to stop other cables being used.

This arrived like a week before the estimated delivery time which is pretty cool. i love how my movies that i bought from itunes show in great quality even on larger screens. I reccommend it, i don't what i'd do without it.
