Interesting, i think this book is precise and to the point however its not the only book you want to own buy another one to go with it that will help you alot more for home study. On the whole it answered alot of immediate questions that made me further my research on this OS.

I've used Stanek's Windows 2000 Administrator's Pocket Consultant for just twelve months before we upgraded to 2003 where i work.. I got his Windows 2003 Server book when it came out. It covers everything you need for those day to day tasks on yuor server. It answers many questions and explains a lot of things like Active Directory, DHCP, DNS.
I have found this book to be a source of invaluable help for studying for possible Micrsoft Qualifications. I'd definitely recommend this book.

I've used Stanek's Windows 2000 Administrator's Pocket Consultant for the past 3 years. I got his Windows 2003 Server book as soon as it came out. It is the best book about Windows I've read by far! It covers everything you need for managing day to day. It answers many questions and explains the concepts of things like Active Directory, DHCP, DNS. At times I felt I had an expert standing beside me. It explains otherwise difficult topics clearly and understandably.
I am giving classes in Windows 2003 Server and this is the book I've used in my own preparation to be fit to train administrators in Windows 2003 Server administration. It is an excellent book taht I have found this book to be a source of invaluable help for studying and training. I'd definitely recommend this book.
