OK, but a bit of a let down in quality. Not that flexible. February 25, 2008 nemo (London) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've bought other sized units of the same make and each time the quality seems a little worse. This product is OK, but just OK. Having bought it I haven't used it. Instead I have bought aluminium flight cases which are more durable, hold more discs, but most importantly allow either CDs or DVDs to be stored in alphabetical order, which is very hard to do with these cases. These wallets are fine if you have a 100 or so disks, but lack practicality if filled with 280 disks that cannot be filed in order with any degree of ease. Having started using the flight cases I have since chucked all my nylon wallets away.
not as good as before April 30, 2007 douglask 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
I was impressed with my Caselogic Wallets in 2005. Unfortunately, after ordering more in 2006 I found they had become flimsier: poorer both in quality and design (the earlier versions had an excellent stiffened and padded sleeve that sat in a pocket on the inside of the front cover and could be slipped out for safe travel, for example). Why do manufacturers lower design and quality, thus losing loyal customers?! Now I get Maplins' wallets for up to 350 CDs/DVDs (about 18 each from their shops) but still find very useful those stiff/padded sleeves from the older Caselogics - would love to know where I can get more.
Not bad but has been better January 25, 2007 BYC 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I've bought three of these cases now and am extremely happy with the first two and would agree with most of the other comments on their use, quality etc. Unfortunately the most recent I bought a couple of months is ago is significantly poorer in construction and materials to the two earlier purchases. It looks like the manufacturer has downgraded the materials used and to a certain extent the design i.e. the older version had a removable sleave holding 16 cd's, this is fixed in the new design. The new design also seems a lot more flimsy and in fact some of the stitching around the zip is coming away after only a couple of months of not particulary heavy use. I have given this 3 stars based on the original design and for the Amazon price and service but think I'll be looking for a better quality product next time.
Good but could be even better... December 28, 2006 G. M. Dobb (Bicester) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is a good product, but it's a shame that you don't seem to be able to buy additional pages. With the supplied pages all full with CD's and covers, the case seems able to accomodate more. I'd like to be able to purchase a few additional pages to be able to cram as much in here as possible. Still, you can't have everything I suppose...
Quality product August 5, 2006 Mr. A. J. Woodford (Hertfordshire, England) 27 out of 27 found this review helpful
I recieved this today about 36 hours after ordering it from Amazon and was very pleased with the quality, finish, compactness and general value for money the CD wallet represented. I have used it for filing a lot of Playstation and PS2 game discs with accompanying literature. The wallet is easy to fill and the cd pouches are tight enough to hold cds in well but also roomy enough to fit the sometimes thick literature accompanyments in. Even with the PS2 literature which is the size of the inserts you get with DVDs it was easy to file by having the literature overlapping the cd above. The wallet is completely closed in by a robust zip and there appears to be no way for dust to impregnate the wallet other than by getting in between the teeth of the zip. When purchasing this, I did consider alternatives, including CD holders that store all the CDs standing up, however in the end I decided that this offered the best space saving capability. The product is pretty much the same size as a full lever arch file when half full and probably just 1&1/2 times the thickness of a lever arch file when absolutely full. The canvas structure of the wallet is strong and the parts which take the strain, such as the area around the handle appear to be made of a material similar to that of seatbelts. Inside the wallet, there is a locking system which locks all the individual sleeves into place. The sleeves can be removed and reorganised easily and quickly. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this product and at a price which is only a fraction more than the CD wallet with a lower capacity made by the same manufacturer, I recommend it highly if you have CDs, DVDs or games discs requiring a new home.
