Excellent May 12, 2008 Pardo (Kent) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've used these discs for the last two years - both in my DVD recorder and when burning my own video to disc - the only time I had a problem was when my DVD burner died. I've tried other brands but had problems - never any problem with Verbatim - they print well too.
I buy no other April 23, 2008 A. A. Jones (England, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Over quite a few years I have tried many different makes of disk. Long ago I made a decision to stick with Verbatim. Not the cheapest, but I cannot find any other disk as reliable both for burning and retention of data. This particular DVD+R 16x 50 pack Printable spindle I have used about 15 tubs. I have had very few failures and find the printing surface excellent. I can only assume the previous reviewer needs to look at his hardware or software drivers. If multitasking, when trying to burn large amounts of data, then this inevitably will lead to failure unless "buffer underun" prevention steps are taken regardless of your choice of disk. In short these particular DVDs come highly recommended
0% Verbatim 100% dodgy April 1, 2008 rayk (Norfolk, England) 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have used these disks and in the past they were always OK. But the last spindle I bought was completely useless. Not one disk worked. Stupidly, I asked for replacements and these turned out to be just as bad. I noticed that the gold-embossed Verbatim name was missing and when I checked the origin with Nero Toolkit, sure enough the manufacturer`s ID is MCC not Verbatim. They seem to have farmed out manufacture to some unknown maker so my advice is to avoid these disks wherever possible.
