Pretty good value for money March 25, 2008 T. Swalwell (Sunderland, England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Got this one from Pixmania UK (so u would expect a UK plug) but its not. its the 2 pin german/french kind. however, it works great and simple to setup and use. good stuff!
NETGEAR RangeMax Wireless Access Point WPN802 October 8, 2007 Mr. M. J. Withnall (London United Kingdom) I have 3 home computers situated in a studio basement of my large Victorian house and recently needed to connect up a laptop so needed a strong signal. The NETGEAR RangeMax Wireless Access Point WPN802 - Radio access point - 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11 Super looked promising since I already had a Netgear DG834 Wired 4 port Modem Router installed. The ease at connecting the ADSL DG834 to the internet and then my LAN had always impressed me. Then I purchased a Sony Vaio laptop with Vista and thought "I'm going to have to work hard getting this little lot up and working!". I can only say how amazed and pleasantly surprised I was at the simplicity of the procedure. I first downloaded and installed the Vista driver from Netgear for a WG112 Wireless USB adapter and then connected the WPN802 via a surplus ethernet cable to the router. No driver for the Access Point was required and everything sprung into life. I think using Netgear compatible products throughout was possibly a key factor but setting up the wireless connection was definitely helped by the signal strength from the WPN802. It also looks spectacular with its flashing blue LED's underneath a domed top and front status signal lights and I'm very impressed with its signal range which enables me to use the laptop anywhere in the house and in the garden.
Power Supply October 4, 2006 Michael Hill (London) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Be very careful. This product is shipped from Germany. Mine came with a continental (2 pin) power supply, so you will need an adapter but as the power brick is quite heavy it all gets a bit ugly. I am asking for a new power supply. Works as advertised though.
