Great Product September 16, 2008 Matt Kelly This memory stick is excellent. It's fast, and the build quality is great. The loop on the back has stayed attached to my keys with no sign of breaking or giving up - and it's taken some punishment. I bought mine before the P&P seemed to skyrocket, and I can understand people's criticisms now that it has. However, mine was excellent value for money, and the product itself I would highly recommend.
Postage Costs September 13, 2008 daycartes (UK) Fortunately I read the reviews before finalising my order. I subsequently not only cancelled the order for the memory sticks due to the OUTRAGEOUS postage costs, but cancelled my music order as well (which I had added to get up to the 15 required for free delivery). Does anyone know whether Amazon has bothered to reply to these reviews? We can only vote with our money and go elsewhere. What a shame, as I have always promoted Amazon as the place to go to.
is amazon losing its way? I am going elsewhere June 10, 2008 L. Garner 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
All of these show a growing problem with amazon. I have found that these ridiculous charges mean it is much better to go to the high st or elsewhere. Come on amazon -this is lousy business !
Not the sellers' fault! Inexcusable, inflexible Amazon P&P policy to blame... May 5, 2008 Mrs Quoad (Huddersfield) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This drive is outstanding. I've been using mine for a good year (or two?) with no faults, no problems, no worries and no concerns. It's been in my pocket attached to my keyring, for goodness sake, and has come in for countless batterings. I lost the lid long ago, and still thought what the heck. It hasn't shifted out of my pocket; it's battered in places; but still works beautifully. Fast data recall, the works. Brilliant gadget. The postage and packaging... This is something I've come across before. Sellers can't be blamed for it as it's a standard, inflexible, Amazon add-on. But it is absolutely infuriating and dishonest in the extreme. It means sellers have to give an unreasonably low and dishonest front price to be 'competitive' at check-out, because Amazon bump the total cost up by something daft thanks to a thoroughly dodgy rate. Not good, Amazon. And a shame, as this is a genuinely outstanding (and ruggedly enduring) piece of kit. Even at 1gb.
For once, it's cheaper to buy away from Amazon! May 2, 2008 T. Clarke (UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I can only concur with what everyone here has said. Many, many other items in this Electronics category are spoiled by outrageous postage prices. I shopped around for a similar USB drive, and found a 2GB for 4.99 at my local computer shop. 'Nuff said!
