Hardware fine - software not so December 17, 2006 Mr. Peter J. Holland (Buckinghamshire, UK) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Great price - the software sucks though. Resorted to using a download from the web (google for chris tv) which works well with it. There really isn't any information in the box so you have to work it out yourself, but this isn't that complicated. Far cheaper than buying a second TV for the spare room though. If I was too have my time (and money) again, I might well go for a more expensive card that covers Digital Freeview TV as the choice is limited.
Cheap and just about functional May 29, 2006 D. Hunt (UK) 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
Be warned, with XP SP2 the scheduler provided with the software for this card will Blue-Screen-Of-Death at regular intervals. Don't worry though you don't need it. If this happens you'll need to reboot in safe mode and delete it from the start->programs->startup. Avoid pressing the scheduler button in the TVR application as well. Additionally there's no help documentation or manual included in the box, and so far I've been unable to capture an entire tape without the video and sound getting badly out of synch. Apparently this is a common problem with capture cards though. Apart from these problems it works great.
