Working with eboostr on Windows XPApril 18, 2008 Wessex Man I bought this USB High Speed Flash Drive to support emulation of Windows Vista's 'ReadyBoost and SuperFetch technologies' on Windows XP. Separate software called eboostr will do the emulation using a fast USB memory stick.
Typical average test speeds I get are: Drive Access: 5.32 MB/s Cache enabled access speed: 12.63 MB/s
This is more than fast enough. I hope this helps you decide if this USB memory is fast enough for you and your particular usage.
This product is used with my laptop in my workshop and the build construction is fine for that. I am not to sure how long it wold it have survived in my road warrior days - but for the price you do get good performance and a useful little USB cable
Excellent value.March 8, 2008 L. Braybrook(England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have one of these devices for personal use and another couple at work. I have been using them for months and have never experienced any problems. I would recommend this item anyway but at this price it's a no brainer!
Excellent for the priceJanuary 13, 2008 D. D. Pitre(England) Overall every impressed with this drive. Not the fastest avaliable as mentioned previously but physically sound. This is not one of those devices that you can abuse too much so dont go leaving this is your washing to get soaked or you may find it brake on you very quickly the lid seems tight and solid. Recommended as a spare backup
Follow up: I hav now had the same problem as other customers have had with the computer no longer viewing the contents of the drive.. A solution to this is to go to the computer management console by right clicking on my computer and selecting manage. Go to the disk management and right click on the removeable drive and select change drive letter and paths and change change to another drive between E and Z... that should solve it... I used to ontrack easy recovery to retreive all of the work before hand just so i didnt loose it.

Not being au fait with these devices I cannot comment on speed. Aka other reviews, it works fine with my vista. It is flimsy though and the lid from mine has emigrated. As it is a portable storage medium the lid attachment should be more robust. For twenty quid it's ok, mine cost over forty! Not THAT long ago.
Ideal Vista Memory Boost.October 24, 2007 G. J. Williams(Prestwich,Manchester) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Have had this drive for a few months and experienced no problems.Bought it to utillse the Readyboost facility on Vista which boosts my 1Gig of memory rather than using the slower virtual memory which takes up part of the hard-drive.Flashing green LED lets you know it is working.Just plug in to USB2 port and operating system will detect and install it for you.
