A good solution to avoid wireless April 10, 2008 SH_ (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got one of these to replace the ancient, original, Alcatel "green frog" modem that BT gave away when they first entered the Broadband market nine years ago. I did so after a connection speed upgrade and because I wanted the built-in firewall without letting those wifi waves into my house. Connection was a breeze with the USB and being always on it is very resilient. The Ethernet alternative was for me a little problematic and tended to drop and need resetting after a complete reboot. Honestly, though, there is no discernible difference in speed and in either case it outpaces both the green frog and the WI fi that I tried briefly before getting this. Amazingly, if you wish and are a BT customer, you can pass through a VoiP system with two phones or phone/fax, which will be very useful for the one person business. I believe you can also attach two desktops. So: good performance and only the minor problems you always get with very advanced technology until you start to take it for granted
Broadband Glitch January 1, 2008 M. Livings (Belfast,NI) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had a completely different experiance witht my voager. Firstly, the "simple" installation took me approximatly 40mins to set up. Although the internet (provided by BT) works fine, when the phone is in use the broadband will suddenly switch off. It fixes itself but is a real nuisence.
Simple,fast,reliable September 22, 2007 H. B. Lulham (Scotland) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The title says it all? As a WiFi "refusnik" I can heartily recommend this. It took about 15 mins to install and my internet provider (Global) was online. I have never had a glitch or delay with it. 10 out of 10!
