One For All SV9365 Indoor Amplified 46dB Aluminium Freeview/DAB Aerial July 5, 2008 kris burke (merseyside england) I Brought this areial as it says it boosts the single to 46dB I have already got a 20dB booster and with that can not get about 6 digital stations so thought this aerial would be ideal. Unfortunatly when I plugged this in it only found 5 digital channels and very poor reception to analogue channels It states on the box that this aerial gives "superb reception" and other such claims I would have to disagree with this , there are cheaper and better boosters out there
Perfect - all Freeview channels now working June 30, 2008 D. Maudsley We had a non amplified aerial on our kitchen TV and could not receive some channels and had unreliable reception on others. I plugged this in and initially didn't see much difference, then I turned the amplification dial up and bam - all channels are now working perfectly and we can view channels in the kitchen we have never been able to watch before. Our digibox has a signal strength indicator and the effect of turning the amplification dial can be seen immediately. For those who are getting no improvement with this aerial, I can only suggest that they are not turning up the dial on the front as ours arrived turned to the minimum. The aerial itself is fairly unobtrusive and fits in well in our kitchen. It does need its own plug socket so I had to buy a socket doubler to plug it in. A black version is also available.
Can finally watch freeview in my room! June 11, 2008 Andy (North Yorkshire) This aerial works a lot better than my Technika amplified aerial I bought for 10 previously. Testing them one after another, the signal strength on BBC 1 went from 55 to 80. Plus with this aerial it now picks up 72 channels opposed to 24 with the Technika. Most of the channels with the Technika weren't watchable, whereas the opposite is now true. Although as seemingly with all indoor aerials (and Freeview in general) the reception can worsen for no apparent reason. I've given it 4 stars since I still can't pick up channel five and the reception isn't always sufficient on some channels, but this is quite possibly just due to rubbish reception in my area and/or the limitations of an indoor aerial. Overall very happy with my purchase.
Don't touch with a barge pole June 2, 2008 P. Rose (Surrey, UK) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
What a total waste of money, this piece of junk barely works with my FM radio. I wanted it to receive digital TV on a very good quality Philips HDTV - I could barely get 2 stations on analogue! The aerial that was connected to the back of the old fashioned TV that the Philips was supposed to replaced worked better than this, I tried them side by side. Ripped off and fed up!
Amazing! May 25, 2008 Mrs. J. A. Glover (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I live in a 3-storey house and have bought a number of (more expensive!) indoor aerials to use in my study on the ground floor - none of which have been satisfactory. Until now! Having read other reviews, I was hopeful, but not entirely convinced this would be any different. How wrong I was! If you need an indoor aerial, you couldn't do better. I am one happy bunny as I can now work and have a clear picture on my portable tv. Bliss!
