Advanced Features: Fast 20MB/sec sequential Read/Write speeds Ideal for demanding photo shoots under severe weather conditions ? heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, etc Durable, reliable and thoroughly tested for heat, cold, shock and vibration Class 6 speed performance rating ( based on SD 2.0 specifications) RescuePRO data recovery software - ensures your photos will always be there Dedicated technical support hotline 1-866-270-5532 ( U.S. only) SanDisk's lifetime limited warranty (EMEA: 10 year limited warranty) What is SDHC? To support the higher capacity needs, SD cards are now requiring a different design. The new SD 2.0 specifications which supports 4GB and up, is called Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC). The SD Association has created and defined 3 speed classes to help you identify speed and performance capabilities/minimum requirements of SDHC cards and their SDHC host products. Cards address data (read and write) at numerous speeds. Many factors impede this performance. SDHC guarantees a minimum read and write speed necessary to handle recording high quality video and audio. The maximum card speed may vary, but you can always depend on SDHC cards to meet your SDHC host product's high quality performance requirements.

5 out of 5 stars Great performance, stunning price   June 26, 2008

You just can't go wrong at this price. It is amazing how a fast memory card transforms a camera - it really does make a huge difference. Already had a 2gb version of this in our previous camera, this new 4gb has just gone in our new TZ5 and it is possible to set the camera in infinite burst mode, hold down the button, and it just goes on forever taking a picture about every 0.5 - 0.75 seconds, it never slows down. Amazing speed from this card. It does indeed come with a dinky little USB reader and a carrying pouch and a CD with recovery software. Don't hesitate, just buy it!!!

I bought this as a sort of after thought--along with some other items I needed. Great value, great performance, and integrates well. If you haven't tried the Sandisk Extreme III SD 4GB Card, the you don't know what you're missing. Why get just one? This is one of the few products that I've actually recommended to my friends. You can't go wrong for the price and size of this little baby.

4 out of 5 stars Check Your Card Reader's Compatability with SD-HC cards   June 23, 2008

Great product with usual great Amazon customer care. Card works in all my cameras really well, but there is a compatibility problem with the integrated card reader on my computer. Although my computer is only 9 months old and very hi-spec at time of purchase, the integrated card reader will not read the SD-HC format cards.
It does come with a handy little card reader which plugs straight into a USB port which solves the problem but if you are using it on more than computer you don't always have this with you.

5 out of 5 stars Great card for the price   June 21, 2008

At its current price, this looks a real bargain and it's quite a lot more economical than the 2GB version. I used two of these card during a recent holiday, each could hold around 1000 10 megapixel photos (JPEGs at the highest-quality quality setting on my D60). This makes it possible to shoot a lot more shots than I would have previously done (perhaps not good discipline, I know) and what's more economic to keep the photos on the card instead of re-using them. The only problem is that you end up with so many pictures on the card that at some time the picture on the card become more 'valuable' than the camera - at least, a lot harder to replace, so I stopped using the cards before they were full.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic Piece of Kit   June 5, 2008

I've been taking photographs for a long time and this is by far the best card I've had yet! It operates in all conditions (even when being shaked and bumped going down a ski slope!). The card hold loads of photos (over 500 on my Nikon D60)and transfers photos at high speed, so no more waiting for 15 minutes for all your pictures to load. The USB adapter that comes with it is also great and saves the cost of upgrading your PC if it cannot handle SDHC.
