2 out of 5 stars Letdown   May 12, 2008
Signal is ok but remote stops working sometimes and i have to switch box off and back on to rectify. On screen display/programme guide is poor too.
Not sure if it is worth 30.

1 out of 5 stars Pure tack   April 30, 2008
I wish I had read the reviews on amazon before wasting ~30 on this. I have experienced the same issues as described by everyone else within one week of buying it. The technical problems aside, there is not one impressive feature about the box. Both build quality and interface is very poor. Perhaps the technical faults are due to reception rather than the box itself and would affect all brands? I dont know but if so, I would recommend doing more research into finding a better quality box with a better user friendly navigation. At this price there is no need to make watching tv a tacky experience.
Good for sources such as Amazon where consumers could do their research before buying.

1 out of 5 stars Cheap price, but doesn't work well enough to justify buying it   April 29, 2008
I bought this box on the strength of some positive reviews (there are always lots at the start, aren't there? Hmmm...) and for its cheap price point. Unfortunately, the list of problems with software and channel switch glitches (see other review comments previously) makes it a poor product, according to my experiences with it, and the money would be better spent on something that works more or less all of the time - which this product doesn't. My advice - put your money into something worthwhile, or you just end up spending it twice. My box is going back!

1 out of 5 stars Useless   April 27, 2008
The reception in the area of my house is not good but two previous digital Freeview boxes at least gave reasonable reception for the major channels. This set top box gave poor broken reception for even the strongest signal channels. It's completely useless to me.

1 out of 5 stars Much Ado About Nothing - no signal was picked up!   April 26, 2008
I was very impressed by the design of this freview box, however, I was uterly disappointed by the fact that the box could not find a signal. According to the freeview website, I live in an area with good coverage; my neighbour has a box and he told me his works fine. I called the Phillips people, we did all the checks and they ended up suggesting I return the product.
