Product Description Strada, the all-in-one GPS system from Panasonic, has a 7" touch panel LCD monitor that features large buttons and a simple, easy-to-navigate interface that streamlines operational steps. A customizable destination menu lets you select your three most used destination menu buttons to increase the speed of use. Massive hard disk capacity means you can see your entire route without swapping discs, even if you?re crossing the US/Canadian border. This system uses NAVTEQ maps, which include updated Points of Interest (POI) and a rich collection of searchable addresses. Your vehicle's position on the map is displayed with high accuracy, thanks to the Panasonic hybrid navigation system. This computes location based on a combination of GPS and self-contained "autonomous" navigation. The autonomous system uses a gyro-sensor and a speed sensor to maintain vehicle positioning even if GPS signal reception is temporarily compromised.

Panasonic Strada June 6, 2008 Mr. Peter Driver (Durham UK) 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
I consider this SAT-NAV unit very poor value for money. it as two MAJOR FAULTS which make it pretty useless. 1, On a sunny day it is IMMPOSSABLE to read the screen and there is no adjustment to alter this 2, The VOICE VOLUME is very poor even when adjusted to its hightest level. I would not reccomend this item to anyome as it is a COMPLRTE WASTE OF MONEY. I AM VERY SURPRISED THAT AMAZON SELL A PIECE OF RUBBISH LIKE THIS.
Super Strada April 11, 2008 Ms. R. J. Fox (Bristol) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I have recently purchased the Panasonic Strada GP50N Sat Nav and it's brilliant! As you can imagine being a bit girly i was looking for something quite stylish looking and i think this is it... The large screen is fantastic and it really makes it easy to use. The lane assist function is very helpful especially when driving in unfamliar areas. I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a sat nav that looks great and performs well too!
Run of the mill April 1, 2008 Mr. Thomas J. Quinn (Ireland) 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
This unit looks good when not switched on, picture is less than I expected from a Panasonic, If used on a bright day you will struggle to see the maps on this screen , also the bluetooth mic is not very sensitive, the units battery does not last long on a charge which in turn makes the bluetooth not up to it, as in if its on longer than 3 hours without main power it will go off , should have had the bluetooth independent of sat nav
Excellent bit of kit January 19, 2008 Mr. A. J. Grundell (Dorset UK) 18 out of 19 found this review helpful
This is soooo much more than just a sat nav. Its an excellent bit of kit, synchs with your phone, so not only can you make calls on the move but access your saved numbers etc. We have three phones set up on it depending who's driving, so just press connect and away you go. Anyhow on to the sat nav bit, comes fully loaded with all of europe, from Poland to Italy, Ireland through most of the UK its not been fooled yet ! The maps are good and the best bit is when you take a "wrong" turn it quickly recalculates the route and points you back in the right way. Much better at this than any other sat nav i have used. The routes aren't always the ones that good solid local knowledge will use but in fairness they are not bad and it hasn't tried to send me down a dirt track or the wrong way up a one way street yet. I think the dash mount is good, the unit is good looking and very user friendly. Its not the cheapest but in my opinion it is certainly worth it. Only bad points are NO CARRY CASE, come on Panasonic! and No mains charger either, lastly the in built Mike for the phone isn't the clearest, well not at 100mph on the Autobahn anyway. If you need a good clear europe wide sat nav that will synch with your phone Buy one you wont regret it!
Smart December 13, 2007 Marc Lewis (Zywiec, Poland) 27 out of 29 found this review helpful
It is a smart bit of kit and easy to use and operate. Map coverage is excellent. You can display many or as few of the on screen options as you like though a lot of data is very small and difficult to read. However the in car stand stand makes life difficult when trying to remove the Strada and why no case to carry it in? Sony has the much better dash board mount.
