Doesnt work with the StarTech KVM September 3, 2008 squawk (Northern Hemisphere) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This adapter doesn't work at all with the startech kvm switch. If I plug my kbd in direct to the laptop it works but thru the switch, nothing. Cheaper versions work (at least I can type and move the mouse) but even these have their problems. Oh to find one that just works perfectly!
Does the job nicely August 31, 2008 KAM 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought a new PC which only supports USB keyboard & mouse and needed to route through a PS2 style KVM (Linksys ProConnect Integrated 2-Port Switch Kit - excellent bit of kit BTW). Plugged in this adapter and it worked first time. Tested with XP-Pro and Ubuntu Linux - no problems.

Connected my PS2 mouse & keyboard (from my PC) to my W2K laptop with this, worked straight away, great product.
Perfect product February 4, 2008 R. Evans 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought a very cheap Labtec wireless keyboard and mouse from Staples, only to realise that the transmitter had PS/2 connections - no good for my usb-only laptop docking station. This adaptor proved to be truly plug & play with Windows 2000. Excellent.
Does exactly what it says (unlike some other adaptors) October 28, 2007 Colin (Azerbaijan) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
I have tried a couple of one-piece plug adaptors to adapt a PS/2 Microsoft keyboard to a USB connection. They did not work. My PC "saw" the keyboard as a USB device but could not recognise it. Looking at some noticeboards on internet, I think it may be possible to get them to work if I download certain drivers. With this adaptor it really was "plug-and-play" and windows XP recognised and allowed the keyboard to operate in seconds. I only needed to use it with a keyboard so have not tried it with mouse as well. For my application I would have preferred a simple one-piece plug- but hey, it is more important to me that whatever I use works first time.
