Product Description Born to rock any room, the iGroove HG is a convenient all-in-one digital music system that delivers audiophile-quality sound everywhere you need it. With its stunning high-gloss black finish and class-leading technology, this dynamic performer turns ordinary MP3 players into high-style, high-performance entertainment centers Unlike other docking speaker systems on the market, the iGroove HG works with most all MP3 player brands, as well as any gadget that has an audio out or headphone jack utilizing a standard miniplug, including cell phones, gaming machines and portable satellite radios. All third and fourth generation dockable iPods dock into the unit for charging. Special iPod mini and nano adaptors come with the system for secure docking, while the shuffle and other devices connect via the included universal J-cup adaptor. A true two-way system, the iGroove HG gets its dynamic soul courtesy of dual 2.5-inch woofers in a ported enclosure, premium crossover networks and dual 1-inch MicroTractrix Horn-loaded tweeters. Aside from its silver predecessor, the iGroove HG is the only speaker system in this category utilizing horn technology, a highly efficient design that reproduces genuine, lifelike sound. In addition to easily filling a room with smooth, crisp sound, the iGroove HG is also extremely simple to operate. All you have to do is plug it in, pop in an iPod and hit play. The included IR handheld remote handles full system control, while the integrated handle makes toting it around a breeze. So, are you ready to get your iGroove on?

Very good, but too much bas May 13, 2008 Krzysztof Jagus (London, UK) Bought this unit after tons of internet research. Among the contenders were the Bose Sounddock and Tannoy i30. I discarded the Bose unit as simply being to expensive. The Tannoy got nice reviews except that I read that it is more bassy than Klipsch. I went for the Klipsch. Sound is fine, I would not say perfect as soudn coming from my Shure E420's is way better. In my opinion, the iGroove has way too much bass. A lot of people tend to judge the sound on the amount of bass. I find excessive bass distracting and tiring. Having said that, the unit does sound powerful, maybe even too much so for my small room and is extremely well built. No problems with remote mentioned inother reviews. Works from a distance and different angles. I also found out that position of the unit is crucial for good sound. Perfectly you would place it slightly above ear level.
klipsch speakers May 13, 2008 Michael South (england) spot on with all the previous reviews!!!!! fast delivery and cannot fault this product believe the hype and enjoy if u buy brillant sound, got it on now...again spot on!! well impressed!!!!!!!
Simply Put.... May 13, 2008 Chris K I've had my eye on this product for quite some time now, and it was a choice of this or the "B&W Zeppelin". Whilst they are both amazingly beautiful products and sound amazing too I eventually decided on this Klipsch iPod speaker and I'm glad I did. It's absolutely amazing sound quality and the bass is incredible. For the price range it is in, the contemporary & minimalistic feel it has and the incredible sound quality it has, it definately is in a high class of its own. Only con I've found with it is the difficulty I had slotting my iPod into the Holder.
Better than Bose?? May 13, 2008 C. D. Wearn (Basingstoke) Needing a speaker system for my kitchen the reviews for the Klipsch were exceptional and so I purchased. This is a great piece of kit for the money but....... I already own a Bose and the sound from that is far richer and with more clarity than the Klipsch. Also where the Bose wins is on lower volumes where you can really hear quality in the music. Who wants pounding beats all the time? I'd still definately recommend the Klipsch but anybody who buys this thinking they will have a superior listening experience to the Bose will be disappointed
just does,nt do it May 10, 2008 J. D. Pallant (uk) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
after reading all the reviews i went ahead and ordered this system, i was initialy very impressed with the style and the sound, however it was not until i listened to some of my hip hop and other sounds with some deep bass that the system really let itself down, unable to cope with any real level of bass, ( just all distorted and horrible) With the bass reducer set on in ipod settings the distortion was reduced but so was overall sound quality, what really made me buy this system in the first place was someone saying that it sounded much better than the bose sound dock, i,m sorry but having heard the bose there is just no comparison at all. I have now returned my system to amazon and will be spending the extra on the bose.
