Nice .. but May 22, 2008 Jeroen Van Den Bossche (West Lafayette Sigh) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Sure it is big, stylish and produces pretty nice images ... but when I look at my screen with the blank screensaver (so a black screen) in the dark it feels like I am looking at a torchlicht. And that when the brightness is at 0... don't know if this qualifies for a return, but I guess I'll soon find out if the costumer service of Amazon.co.uk is up to par with Amazon.com...
Excellent monitor, but not flawless. March 19, 2008 J. Hayes (Suffolk) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I recently purchased this excellent monitor, here is a brief review of it's good and bad points. GOOD Beautiful styling. Matches the looks of much more expensive HD TV's. Incredibly sharp and excellent image quality in windows over a DVI cable. Games look stunning and vivid. Movies looked generally good. Instant WOW factor when upgrading from older or smaller monitors. 22" widescreen will blow you away. Image quality exceptional compared to budget panels (such as you may have at work). NEGATIVE Back light bleed at top and bottom of screen noticeable when screen displays dark images... Which slightly mars its performance in certain film scenes. I found the screen adjust buttons awkward and non intuitve. For 200 it is now possible to purchase a high quality premium 22" wide screen monitor with amzing styling and image quality.I was really happy with my purchase. Good luck!
SM226BW 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor March 10, 2008 Mr. A. Steel (Scotland) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Took delivery of one of these last week, and have to say I have been very impressed, particularly for the money. Out of the box, the screen was bright, clear, with nice vivid colours. I had read about the varying panels that can potentially be fitted to this screen, but I haven't even bothered to check, as the picture more than satifies my expectations. The lack of height adjustment is a slight shame, but in no way detracts from the screen. You can, after all, sit it on something if you require it to be higher. All in all, I would say if you were thinking of buying this screen, go for it, you won't be disappointed.
P.O.S. ! Don't waste you time and money. March 5, 2008 M. Lambert (London) 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
Well I played the Samsung lottery and lost! I don't normally do reviews but felt I had to after this debacle. I read about S versus A Versus C model but none of that prepared me for this piece of junk!I had done the research and prepared myself for all of the permutations, or so I thought. None of the profiles on the net or included(or net) calibration software have adjusted this monitors output to achieve even mediocre results. The colour is consisitently off by a big margin. I persevered and have now given up. Now I have to waste my time packing it back up and taking it to the post office and send it back for a refund. Shame on Samsung for letting this out of the factory and shame on Amazon for stocking it. It gets 1 star for being well packaged. Contents of the box were rubbish.
Samsung ...good or bad? February 22, 2008 M. J. Kenny (uk) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
All that I can say is...apart from the height adjustment (Or lack of!!) the monitor itself (For the money!) is excellent... Seriously...buy it..!At this moment I'm loving the quality for the price! Zero defects...great resolution................
