 Good value for an HD TV September 24, 2008

I got this for my xbox 360 and it has performed well. As expected from the other reviews,the sound quality isn't perfect but that is easily solved by plugging in some computer speakers or similar.
Initially i used component, then upgraded to a VGA cable, and am running it at 1280x1024, even though the monitor's actual resolution is between the 2 HD levels. The number of inputs is useful, but dual scart would be nice.
A nice feature is that it can be turned on from the remote without leaving it in a standby mode, and it automatically restarts in the same input mode as it was turned off in, which saves the bother os changing it each time it is turned on. Overall a good TV which is good value compred to the others available.

Lets put some perspective on this TV. Its is cheap. It won't have the best sound and picture quality - if you want that, buy a Sony (and spend 200 more). I was going to buy a 'better' TV, but then i thought "Do i really need to spend so much more money for a bedroom TV?" No. Its a great little set. Sound and picture both adequate for a bedroom Tv.

Great next day delivery by Amazon. The TV's picture is great, the sound is good, I don't know why other people don't like the sound unless it is a fault in their product.
Good slots. Have everything plugged into my tv now, no switching around except for the two scarts.
Great tv, buy this if you are looking for a cheap but good build quality of LG. Good for bedroom and looks very smooth.
