They Killed Other Phones May 19, 2008 Reshad Hossen (United Kingdom) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The only issue is the single wiring to the left of the headphones. It may sound like you are only listening to one side; they also sound a bit muddy but perfect in all senses. From treble to bass I wouln't say buy another brand. With mid-base being perfect and making instrumental music come alive, these rock. The treble is sharp but can faulter music so if you have a good "Treble" setting on your MP3 or other media devices, up the trebel so sound isn't muddy. These aren't the average phones' because they only sound good at home. They leak allot so riding the bus with your music playing is a real no. They don't block outside noise either. Senhisers don't stand a chance. I say buy these if you need amazing headphones for music and gaming at home.
Truly awesome headphones June 21, 2007 mikespoff (Cape Town, South Africa) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've been using these headphones for over a year, and they are still as awesome as the first day I put them on. Amazing sound quality, good noise cancellation, and simply the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn. I regularly wear them for 6+ hours in a day, and they're still not bothering me by the end. The self-adjusting headband works brilliantly, and the extra long cord is just an added bonus, so you don't have to have your input jack right next to you. Having tried several headsets, I now opt for these headphones with a desktop microphone instead, because there's just nothing to compete with these for comfort and sound quality.
Great stuff. January 28, 2007 Reviewer 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
For the price tag you really can't fault them. Sound quality is excellent, and they are often extremely comfortable. They do, however weigh down on the head after hours of continuous use. The Open Air design means that there is a high amount of noise leakage, for example, people a couple of meters away will be able to what i'm listening to quite clearly when I have it on fairly loud.
Another Excellent Amazon Service. August 5, 2005 6 out of 10 found this review helpful
Ideal for listening to internet radio (BBC 3)! Just connect the jack to your pc's audio output. Very good sound quality.
Excellent value for money! January 30, 2005 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
For around 20 these headphones are brilliant. I use them on my computer with my soundblaster soundcard (which is supposed to be very good when used with these headphones as stated by the manufacturer) and they produce superb midrange and high frequency sound quality. The low frequency isn't amazing as such, but I have also used my headphones on my portable cd player and the bass is actually very good. I have gathered the bass quality depends on what device you're using. I must admit that the dynamics and quality of these headphones are better than my speakers but then again my speakers are a 4 year old 4.1 surround system and aren't meant for music unlike bookshelf cabinet speakers. The hq1300s cut out sound fairly well and can go to very loud volumes-but you wont use all the volume. I have found I can heard things in songs that I couldn't on my speakers. One crucial thing I love about these headphones is how comfortable they are. The self adjusting headband lifts the weight off ure head and you can wear them for hours. For the price, I would get these if you're a regular music listener (rock and metal sound beautiful on these), unless you want true 5.1 surround sound and are willing to pay around 50. Basic verdict-I'm glad I bought them and I'm very satisfied with all the music I listen to!
