I purchased this headset but unfortunately had to return it for a refund because the "new" iPod nano does not fit into the headphone slot. The headphone connection slot in the base of the "new" iPod nano is approximately 1/8 th of an inch out. I can only assume that the headphones were designed for an earlier version of the nano, but I did not see any reference to or warning of this on the Amazon catalogue page.
