Excellent audio - great for both gaming and Skype (although you may want to consider how you look on a video conference). Also good for music although finer classical pieces may `stretch` them.
Covers on ear pieces do a good job of reducing but not eliminating background noise - if you want that you need noise cancelling headsets, I didn't. The only slight problem is that your ears will get warm (and perhaps sweaty) if using it for a long period - this is the nature of most closed cup headsets though so once again you need to purchase with your eyes open.
