Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The new ultra-small memory card is designed to meet the growing storage needs of highly compact, multifunctional mobile phones. An 'M2' adaptor in the size of a standard Memory Stick will allow users to exchange data to Memory Stick PRO compatible products. The M2 media is approximately one-quarter the volume of Memory Stick PRO Duo media, yet only about 1.2mm thick. M2 media is designed as an externally removable media with a controlled eject function to prevent users losing the media. Following the trend of mobile phones which operate at 1.8 volts, the M2 has been designed as dual-voltage media. In addition to 1.8 volt support, the media offers 3.3 volt operation which is required for existing Memory Stick PRO compatible products. Please note that eXpansys vouchers cannot be used when purchasing this product.

5 out of 5 stars Great item, fast delivery - what more would you expect?   October 8, 2008

I got everything I expected when I ordered this. I ordered late on Monday, it arrived first thing Wednesday., well packaged in all original packaging and with an invoice/delivery note.

I bought this to use with my SE C902, after checking the maximum memory stick capacity that my phone could take on SE website, which is 8gb.

I'm sure most others are using the card for the same, for me it is for storing music, as one other reviewer said, who needs a walkman (or other poplular branded music player for that matter ;-) if you can use this?

The transfer rate is excellent - I'm using this in place of an 8gb MP3 player that I have had enough of by another respected manufacturer that takes twice as long to transfer songs between PC and phone. for example to transfer between PC and phone with memory stick in it, an album with 15 songs, at MP3 best quality, it is taking me all of 1 minute.

And finally, the memory card does come with an adaptor so that I can put it straight into the reader in my PC, should I not need it for a SE phone in the future it can be used for other purposes - I found this when Sandisk first started doing cards that weren't standard SD size, and they came with an adapter - at least I can use them for something else when I'm done with them if the next phone I get doesn't happen to be an SE one!

Good service all round, and good product!

5 out of 5 stars Very good card   October 6, 2008

I bought the SanDisk 8GB m2 card for my Sony Ericsson G900i. The phone was able to use the full space of the card, and the overall speed of the card is more than very good. I can store almost endless videos on it without worries.

1 out of 5 stars Corrupt in a month!!!!!   October 2, 2008

I bought this in July and was using it as main storage device for my Sony ericsson mobile phone.I loaded all my music, messages and games on to this card. All these took up around 4.8 gig and seem to be working fine until 3 weeks ago.My phone,my Pc and my laptop all stopped recognising this card.I called up Sandisk support and they asked for the card number. When i got a magnifying glass and read that out i was told this was a counterfiet card as the serial number did not have any alphabets in it.I infromed that i got this from Amazon and emailed the screen shot of the reciept.I was put through to a different person who agreed that this card was genuine and sent me a software to extract the data on my card. All the attempts to salvage my data using different sofwares failed and i have sent back the photos of card and reciept to the customer servies department for a replacement card.

I am still waiting for repalcement to arrive since then but the person i spoke to advised this might take upto 6 weeks.

I lost all my data and all the time i spent into oraganising my music on the phone.

I suggest you to back up all your data and if possible aviod the 8Gb version and stick to 4 Gb version as I have found there are many gripes/failures associated with 8Gb card.

5 out of 5 stars 8GB M2   September 7, 2008

I was not sure if an 8gb card would work with my Sony Ericsson K550i as I had read that this phone would only take a 2gb card, however I decided to risk it. After loading my shrunk MP3 files onto the card(see Shrink My Tunes in software) I plugged the card into my mobile and lo and behold all 200 CDs were listed. Even plenty of room to spare. Who needs a walkman with this capacity on a mobile.

5 out of 5 stars I am very pleased !!!!   August 14, 2008

I think the review of this card by Mr Plonis is unfair and hope he will amend it.
I bought the 8GB card for my SE k800i phone. I was a little worried after reading his review but it was such a good price and the other comment here made me think it would be OK.
In fact when I installed the card the phone only registered it as having approx 3.5GB and I panicked a little.
I then viewed the card through the USB connection between the phone and my computer and could then see it as an 8GB card. So no problem with the card then!
A bit of research on the web confirmed my suspicion that it was the phone to blame rather than the memory card.
I think I can upgrade the firmware for the phone and so will give that a try.
It is wrong to blame the memory supplier for the way in which the phone is configured.
The SE web site does say that 4GB is the maximum card size supported for the k800i phone at the time it was first released.
I have read elsewhere that people have the phone working with the 8GB card after upgrading to firmware version R1JG001.
The memory card arrived swiftly and was well packaged. It also had an adaptor for to allow it to fit in some previous Sony proprietary card slot. I do wish Sony would use standard SD cards.
