Regardless of what anyone says- i cannot fault this webcam- using msn messenger, works well. The software is simple and effective. Motion detection quite novel. The colours and brightness are adjustable and user friendly. It is basic and lightweight, but considering the price- cant complain. Often we have less problems with the simple things in life.

This was my first webcam. Although it is easy to install but there are several drawbacks. If the room is poorly lit, the video picture quality is poor. The video resolution works best at 352x288 which is too small. It does not work very well with MSN messenger - clicking on the webcam icon will function but the video quality is very jerky. If you try action->video conferencing, it doesn't work at all! I believe the software needs updating and nothing is available on the labtec website. I would not recommend this webcam if you want to use it for good quality video conferencing.

A very cheap webcam but dont let that put you off, the picture quality is excellent and I have found a way around the problems of the slightly flimsy base - a couple of pieces of blu-tack stuck to the bottom, weighs the camera down nicely and it doesnt move at all! Very easy to set up and use, integrates perfectly with windows xp and msn messenger - I guess the main reason people buy webcams, why pay any more when this does the job perfectly!

- Good quality video (especially in Yahoo messenger)
- Easy to focus using lens
- Simple set upBad points
- Terrible design, base isn't weighted
- 640 x 480 still pictures are dreadful
- Colours are often wrong Great webcam, but don't think about using it for photographs!

A bought this webcam so i could chat using netmeeting. It is perfect for this although the video quality isn't that great. It works best with a fast connection as there is no lag and video is smooth. Overall very good!
