Crashes Windows XP April 30, 2008 A. W. Hall (Haslemere, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I installed this webcam with the latest software (version 11.5) and found that it periodically crashed my PC. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software a couple of times since following instructions received from Logitech support but to no avail. They are now suggesting I install an older version of the software (v11.1). I am inclined to give it up as a bad job.
Great Deskware - Completely Useless As A Webcam February 21, 2008 Barty B (England) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The hardware is fairly average for a Chinese made product, acceptable but not great. The driver software is however, complete dross. It is an absolute dog to use and simply not fit for purpose (at least that is the case with Windows XP). It has been installed several times, but even with the latest drivers (10/2007) it stops working after five minutes claiming that the 'webcam is in use by another application' - which it's not. It was bought for web conferences and two of my colleagues who also bought this product have experienced the same issues. To summarise, buy something else.
NO HEADSET SUPPLIED + Paid return postage too !! December 13, 2007 Paul C (Berkshire, Eng) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Received this item and found on opening that it does not come with a headset as described which was the reason why we purchased it as a present. Have just returned it to Pixmania/Amazon as required and have had to pay 2.38 for the post service which I want refunded. Back to John Lewis or PC World now!!
Excellent Cam for an Excellent Price! December 9, 2007 Ms. M. Y. Bray (Grimsby, N.E.Lincs) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I knew this cam was good already because my brother has one. Ive seen this same camera in the argos for 50! Amazon really are the best when it comes to price comparison. The cam works really good on all chat programs with webcam facilities and you can actually use the really cool logitech software while chatting with your online buddies. Its also great for video blogging and taking pics! this cam also has something called RightLight and Face-tracking so you can make sure your photos and video come out just as good as you want them to!
What a dissapointment!! August 4, 2007 Kilroy (Shropshire, England) 7 out of 11 found this review helpful
Read some fairly positive reviews and Logitech is supposed to be a good company. Solid looking camera and headset, but the software is dire. I have tried installing it 4 times and each time it corrupts amongst others all my video drivers and crashes my entire system to the point where I can't get it going to be able to uninstall! I have all the latest drivers and still it crashes everything. Be very careful.
