Cracking little thing! October 17, 2008 C. McGeary (Ayrshire) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great little camera! The picture quality is brilliant for 1.3mp's too. I mostly use mine to communicate with my gf who is currently studying away from home. Her student accommodation is a little dark and murky but the cam automatically compensates for this and provides a good clear picture...we both use the same cam btw! Also, The built-in microphone allows for communication to be transferred flawlessly with hardly any time-delay between speech and video movement. There's also a manual focus dial which can be altered by turning the disc around the lens, very simple to use indeed! Also provided is lots of extra software features for you to explore and liven up the relatively dull chit chat normally experienced on live messenger! Descent clip to put it on the top of the laptop, seems quite sturdy. I read in previous reviews that this doesn't work on Vista, to those reviewers i would like to say that it isn't the camera that doesn't work on Vista...its YOU! I've never used the camera on XP so i can't commment from that perspective, but it works like a charm on Vista!
Doesn't Work With Vista September 10, 2008 Roger Hull (Maidenhead, UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This worked fine for two weeks before I upgraded to Vista. Hasn't worked since then despite downloading the new software from the Microsoft website. Vista tells me to contact the manufacturer for a solution. Lol!
LifeCam - easy peasy February 8, 2008 S. Moore (UK) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
In short it does what it says it does. I have had other cameras but this one is as close to plug and play that i have seen. The microphone on it is superb, and can track a voice some 6 to 7ft away effectively. for me its an essential put-in-the-bag for my business trips
Good Product and good value for money January 28, 2008 Saad (UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have bought this webcam as an upgrade to my old one. After a thorough search I decided on the Microsoft Lifecam VX-6000. I did search for the best price and Amazon price was about 75% cheaper. I received it within 6 days. Installation was straight forward. And the picture quality was good. I want to say that I found the microphone very good indeed despite some of the reviewers had a problem with it. It did fit nicely over my LCD screen, and my voice was very clear without any interference. I tried with Windows Life Messenger as well as Yahoo! Messenger and it did work very well. Highly recommended.

Got one of these to upgrade a bog standard Logitech one that came with the PC. Loaded the software and plugged in the camera, worked perfectly right from the off. easy to install and use good quality images... highly reccommended
