 Really disappointing - a very frail piece of kit December 23, 2007

I'd echo the experiences of the poster a couple down. Initially it worked like a dream, but it is now incredibly temperamental (after a month or so) - some days it works, others it doesn't. When it does work, the mic may or may not work, and it may or may not crash my PC. (complete lock up - switch off at the wall job)
For me, this is going in the bin - I've reverted to a geriatric Philips webcam which works fine.
(NB - I use XP - I wonder if the experience is better with Vista?)

A good webcam but be aware that this camera does not have drivers for Vista x64 yet so will not work

Well, what can i say, it looked great, resonable price, came with a free mic, and it had great software, i went straight for it.
it came in good time, brilliant, it worked, done videos, pictures everything perfectly, and the mic was brilliant too.
two months along the line, well, the mic no longer works, but that was just a freebe anyway, and the cam is causing even more trouble.
firstly, it will not stay connected, at first it took me a very long time to get my computer to remember that the drivers were already installed, and get the program to recognise that the webcam was indeed already plugged in... but i perservered, and with much effort, reinstalling drivers, and using different hard drives, i finaly got it to work again.
but now it will not work indefinatly, it will run for about 10 seconds before it cuts out and instantly reconects, so for online webcamming, it is terible, for you have to resend the web invitation every ten seconds! or less
also apart from that, it has started making my pc crash and even shut down, giving me driver errors and then completely shutting down.
well, as i said, this camera was good right up untill it past the time zone were it could be returned, i have had it about 4 months now, so thats 2 months of struggling with it, but the only place it belongs is in the bin! if you want something that will last more than 2 months, do not buy this, biggest waste of 30 quid i ever spent

Really amazed at the way it set up and worked picture sound zoom
everything works so well and with live messenger fantastic
and as a stand alone video and photo were great its under priced.great for money take some beating,A lot for the price.
ALL I CAN SAY IS BUY ONE SEE FOR YOURSELF
