Like the other reviewer, I've had to have several goes at it before discovering that this webcam wasn't compatible with Vista. Also, I agree that it doesn't attach to a laptop screen very well. Having said that, the headphones and microphone do work very well.
I emailed DVD.co.uk to find out about the returns process and got a reply almost straight away. The item is now in their hands and I am awaiting a refund...

Firstly it isnt clear from the product description that this package isnt compatible with vista and other products are. Only after several attempts at getting the software working did i end up checking and discovering this was the case. The webcam screen attachment mechanism was fairly hopeless on my Dell laptop - might work better on others?
Also if you are buying in a hurry dont fall for the 'buy with' option headphones and microphone (it already comes with them and they are perfectly good). Now i have to fight through the laborious returns process - always difficult if you buy through an amazon subsidiary. Probably a great webcam if your system is compatible. NOw to try the creative Vista webcam...

The camera works beautifully on my notebook laptop XP windows. Fits perfectly and looks great. Earphone works well for what it is. I would recommend downloading all software as had problems when tried to cut down on the downloads. Takes a while to download but picture is great! Really great package for such a low price.

As this is my first webcam I have nothing to compare it with but I can highly recommend it. I bought my first one in a shop and was so pleased with the price, quality and the easy set up that I bought more for friends and family as Xmas presents.. we can now all chat on Skype which is great as most of my relatives live in Germany and had never seen my little girl before. The stand that is attached to the camera also works very well on my PC and my laptop. It comes with headphones and a microphone which both seem to work very well..

When you consider what you have to pay for some techno gadgets these days, 17 for something that works is pretty impressive. Read the reviews and bit the bullet and it installed very easily (doesn't really take too long, so don't go away or you'll miss vital bits. The extra bits are quite cute). Rather precariously balanced on top of my flat screen, as 'clip' is not very tight, but the mic and headphone set works well too. Think i may have missed the instructions on adjusting it in the set up and it took a while to work it out, but it works perfectly with Skype and i wouldn't hesitate to buy another one!
