Well a question not a comment. How do you think this would work on small (old) photos, small negs etc.? I am fed up buying things said to do what I need them to do, only to find that they don't! I have photos from 1940's that are no way standard and something like this might just do the trick, even if it wasn't exactly designed for it.

If you are looking for a solution to scan your Receipts this is it! stop looking for and buy this one. I have been using it for 6 months now. just done 40 Taxi tickets in 2 PDF files. (pdf is external software as printer). Is swallows any kind of paper, even those receipts you found in the bottom of your handbag, scracthed and dirty. It is a robust solution. Simple and easy to use: no external power adapter, small and tought.
Job expenses scanned in few mintues. It will help you and your organization a lot.
Plus, if you really need it, you can take it with you, it will fit in pretty much all laptop bags, without effort. and is a light product.
